ACES Basic (Clarkston, WA)

Lewiston and Moscow, Idaho and Pullman and Clarkston, Washington emergency communications agencies are sponsoring an ACES Basic certification course in Clarkston, WA.  The course fee is $25 per student at the door and includes the student workbook, handouts and certificate.  FEMA courses IS-100, IS-200 and IS-700 courses are required prior to certification and available online at http://training.fema.gov/is.  You may attend the course prior to completing the FEMA prerequisites, you will receive your ACES certificate after completing the prerequisites. 
 
Students are required to bring a radio with instruction manual for programming practice.  The class focuses on performance and mastry of skills required for auxiliary communications support.  You will be operating and checking into a net, sending and receiving formal message traffic in multiple formats and programming your radio to new frequencies.  To complete the course, you must pass a multiple choice exam and demonstrate practical, learned skills.  Contact Ty of W7TML at wiLLtyL@isu.edu with questions or for more information.
