ACES

This course offering had to be cancelled.  Highline ARC and the WW Medical Services Team are jointly hosting an ACES Basic course.  The course fee is $25 per student at the door and includes the student workbook and certificate.  The FEMA IS-100, IS-200 and IS-700 courses are available online and are required prior to certification. You may take the class before completing the FEMA courses and will receive your ACES certificate when you complete the FEMA courses. Students are required to bring a radio and manual for programming practice and a headset is recommended. The class focuses on your performance and mastry of the skills required for auxiliary communications support. You will be operating and checking into a net, sending and receiving formal message traffic in multiple formats and programming your radio to new frequencies. To complete the course there is a multiple choice exam and practical demonstration of learned skills. - Cancelled -

Kirkland ARES is sponsoring an ACES Basic course.  The course fee is $25 per student at the door and includes the student workbook and certificate.  The FEMA IS-100, IS-200 and IS-700 courses are available online and are required prior to certification. Dechutes County ARES Auxcomm is sponsoring an ACES BASIC certification class in Sisters.  The course will be taught in two days, Saturday and Sunday 8am to 5pm each day.  Location is the Sisters City Hall, 520 E Cascade Avenue, Sisters Oregon.  Cost is $25 per student and includes the student workbook.  Preregistration is required, payment may be made via payal when signing up or at the beginning of the class.  Completion of ICS 100, 200 and 700 are required for certification, students may take the class without the ICS courses but will need to complete them for certification.  Students should bring their handheld radio with charger, an extra battery if available, and an earphone/headset is handy for the nets and message passing exercise.  Students will be repeatedly programming their radios as well as sending and receiving voice messages.  Please email N7HQR with any questions.  n7hqr@oregonaces.org

Latah County Search and Rescue is sponsoring an ACES Basic certification  course in Moscow, ID.  The course fee is $25 per student and includes the student workbook.  ICS 100, 200 and 700 are required prior to certification.  You may still take the class if you haven't completed the FEMA courses and you will receive your certificate when you complete the FEMA courses.  Students are required to bring a radio and manual for programming practice and passing traffic.  Pre-registration is required. 

Shoreline OEM is sponsoring an ACES Basic certification  course in Shoreline, WA.  The course fee is $25 per student and includes the student workbook.  ICS 100, 200 and 700 are required prior to certification.  You may still take the class if you haven't completed the FEMA courses and you will receive your certificate when you complete the FEMA courses.  Students are required to bring a radio and manual for programming practice and passing traffic.  Pre-registration is required.

Lincoln County Auxiliary Communications is sponsoring an ACES Basic course in Gleneden Beach.  The course will be two days, 8am to 5pm Saturday and Sunday.  The course is taught at the Gleneded Beach Fire Station, 6445 Gleneden Beach Loop, Gleneden Beach Oregon.  Cost is $25 per person and include the student workbook and refreshements.  Course fees for Lincoln County ACS members will be covered by Lincoln County.  Pre-registration is required, course fees will be collected at the start of class.  Completion of ICS 100,200 and 700 are required for completion certificate.  Please plan on bringing copies of your ICS certificates to the class.  Students should bring their handheld radio with charger, extra battery if available, and an earphone/headset is helpful for nets and message passing exercise.  Plan on programming your handheld radio many times and participating in message handling exercises.  Please email Daron N7HQR with any questions n7hqr@oregonaces.org
